Book Review: Essentials for Life, Marcia Ford
January 12, 2013 by · Leave a Comment
The book is beautiful, the layout and the graphics are very nice and calming when you read. However, I didn’t really care for the content. I think one of the keys to a good self help writer is making the content fresh. Lets face it there isn’t much that a self help writer can write that hasn’t already been said. The key to a good book however is to make you readers feel like this is the first time they have read this stuff, and I didn’t get that with this book. I felt like I was reading excerpts from other self help books that I have read before.

Circus, Circus!

Living in Reno the very first thing I thought of for a circus theme was Circus, Circus. I hope you enjoy the show.
I have never actually been to a circus, however I love the idea of one and my daughter and I want to start our own “Gypsy Flow Circus”

A life I choose.

I have been asked “Why do you put so may restrictions on your self”?
I have been told “Just live your life the way you want to”.
The thing is though, I do live my life the way I want to.
I
CHOOSE to live a life that Glorifies YAHWEH.I
CHOOSE to live a life of worship to the creator of all things.I
CHOOSE to live a life broken and spilled out for my creator.
I CHOOSE not to be a seat warmer always learning but never doing.I CHOOSE to love YAHWEH and love people!
I CHOOSE to be set apart.
O God, you are my God; I will seek you eagerly. My heart thirsts for you, my body longs for you in a land parched and exhausted, where no water can be found. I used to contemplate you in the sanctuary, seeing your power and glory; for your grace is better than life. My lips will worship you. Yes, I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands. I am as satisfied as with rich food; my mouth praises you with joy on my lips when I remember you on my bed and meditate on you in the night watches. For you have been my help; in the shadow of your wings I rejoice; my heart clings to you; your right hand supports me. But those who seek to destroy my life -may they go to the lowest parts of the earth. 10 May they be given over to the power of the sword; may they become prey for jackals. 1 But the king will rejoice in God. Everyone who swears by him will exult, for the mouths of liars will be silenced.

Change..

Life belongs to the living, and he who lives must be prepared for changes.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Normally, I love change. I welcome it with open arms and anticipation. However, this year has brought its share of change that has caused mixed feelings. Painful changes, with the passing of my father at the young age of 51, and my husband of 8 years asking for a divorce. Exciting changes with my girls and I getting ready to embark on an adventure in full time RV living. So while I am still welcoming the change my arms are not open as wide as they normally are.
I do know one thing though and that is my Future is in the hands of YAHWEH and I know that I can trust He will not lead me on the wrong path.
Blessings
